English & Activity

  • Bucksmore Summer Junior - A residential course of English classes combined with a fun-filled activity and excursion programme, this is perfect for students wanting to experience a traditional summer boarding school environment. Ages 10-13.

  • Bucksmore Cambridge -  With 25 hours of tuition each week, a maximum class size of 11 students and a 20% cap of any nationality, Bucksmore Cambridge is an intensive English language course that immerses students aged 14-17 in the English language. Combined with a fun-filled activity programme, the course is perfect for students who want to maximise their language knowledge away from a traditional summer boarding school environment.

  • Bucksmore Oxford - With 25 hours of tuition each week, a maximum class size of 11 students and a 20% nationality cap, Bucksmore Oxford is an intensive English language course that immerses students aged 14-17 in the English language. Combined with a fun-filled activity programme, the course is perfect for students who want to maximise their language knowledge away from a traditional summer boarding school environment.

  • Bucksmore London - With a maximum class size of 11 students and 22.5 hours of English tuition each week, Bucksmore London is a great opportunity to combine language learning with exploring the world’s most famous city. Thanks to King’s College London’s central location, the activity programme is filled with fun and cultural trips around London’s best-known landmarks, museums, attractions and shopping districts. Ages 14-17.

  • Bucksmore Summer - This residential course combines 15 hours of English classes per week with 7.5 hours of Academic Skills and a fun-filled activity and excursion programme. This is perfect for students wanting to experience a traditional summer boarding school environment whilst improving their public speaking skills, presentation skills, research skills and process and product writing skills. Academic Skills can be replaced with 7.5 hours of Animal Care or Coding.

 

English + Specialist Options

  • Bucksmore Summer (Coding) - Bucksmore Coding provides students of all language abilities with the opportunity to combine English language tuition with learning the fundamental elements of software design. This is a unique opportunity for students to bring together two key languages for the future: English and programming. The course runs as part of the larger Bucksmore Summer programme, with the addition of 7.5 hours of coding classes in a modern computer laboratory in place of English lessons. Ages 13-16.

  • Bucky Adventure - Bucky Adventure is a summer school experience that combines English language with adventure activities such as sailing, mountain biking and kayaking. With 18 hours of English tuition each week, a maximum class size of 11 students and a 20% cap of any nationality, the course immerses students aged 13-16 in the English language. No experience is necessary to take part in any of the fantastic adventure activities!

  • Bucksmore Arts Choice - Bucksmore Arts Choice is a unique English language course that immerses students aged 14-17 in the English language combined with a choice of performing arts, studied alongside local English teenagers. With 19 hours of tuition each week, a maximum class size of 11 students and a 20% cap of any nationality, Bucksmore Arts Choice offers the opportunity for students to improve their English both in the classroom and also with a truly international community during the afternoon electives.

  • Bucksmore Three Capitals - The Bucksmore Three Capitals tour takes a summer school on the road as students combine English language learning with travelling the UK. 30 hours of English tuition over two weeks and group cultural projects, students are given the opportunity to explore the differences between all three countries. With private coach travel between London, York, Edinburgh, the Lake District and Cardiff, young explorers are provided with the best possible experience. Bucksmore Three Capitals offers the opportunity for students to improve their English and understand cultural differences within the United Kingdom.

  • Bucksmore Arts Choice Junior - Students aged 10-13 are immersed in the English language combined with a choice of performing arts, such as music, dance or art. With 16.5 hours of tuition each week, a maximum class size of 11 students and a 20% cap of any nationality, Bucksmore Arts Choice Junior offers the opportunity for students to improve their English both in the classroom and also with a truly international community during the afternoon electives.

Academic Enrichment 

  • Bucksmore Young Leaders - Bucksmore Young Leaders is our flagship leadership course that provides students aged 14-17 with the key skills they require to become future leaders of their generation. A highly regarded and prestigious summer school, Bucksmore Young Leaders offers a challenging and modern approach to developing not only students’ language abilities but their confidence and leadership potential with 28 hours of tuition per week and maximum class sizes of 11 students.

  • London Advanced Studies Program - The London Advanced Studies Program (LASP) is an academic enrichment summer course for ambitious students wanting to challenge themselves with advanced academic tuition in very small class sizes. Available to international students with a ‘strong’ intermediate level of English as well native English speakers, the course requires students choose one ‘core’ and one ‘specialist’ subject per week, as well as a weekly master class in key skills such as negotiation and public speaking.

 

Pre-University 

  • World University Preparation - World University Preparation (WUP) advises students about where and how to apply to university. WUP provides international students with the best possible chance of applying to leading UK institutions. A mix of 1:1 tutorials, small-group classes, UCAS application workshops and university style lectures guide students through the application system and provide an insight into life as an undergraduate at a top UK university.

  • Oxford & Cambridge Advanced Studies Program - Students on the Advanced Studies Program (ASP) study two challenging university-level subjects in small classes with no more than six students taught by passionate and knowledgeable tutors. Due to the challenging nature of the course, the Advanced Studies Program is available to native or advanced level students from around the world.
